Self care, a word we hear often. But do we really understand it?

What is self care? 

An activity deliberately adopted and religiously practise for the physical, mental and emotional well being. It is the investment done on ourselves to improve our relationship with self and others.

However, this simple act is usually misinterpreted as selfishness. Self care helps one to bring a balance in life. It is much more than expensive spa treatments that burn holes in pockets.

Again, it is not a one-size-fits-all activity. It differs from person to person, based on their needs.

Ponder for a minute, “Do you take care of yourself?”. Then think, “How do you take care of yourself?”.

These questions would surely help you to identify your needs. Later, work on your needs by taking one step at a time.
