“What makes you happy?” my 5 days old roomie once asked me. I was young, had joined a reputed MNC a month ago. Coming from a small small town I dream on reaching great heights.
I don’t remember what I said a decade ago. It was something about getting a car, buying a house or similar. 10 years later, I own most of them. But that don’t make me happy any longer.
Now, as I have grown wiser, I guess.
If ask me the same question today, it took me a while to point out a few things.
I like taking walks and observing people.
I enjoy a cup of warm masala tea made by my husband, Mr. Fabulous every morning.
Reading a good book which can take me place never before.
I love to watch my son, Penguin bond with his cousins. His heartwarming laughter. His ways of making me see things in new perceptions.
I can’t deny though, I do love when taking a timely nap and I get 15 minutes of uninterrupted time to scroll down Instagram or an ebook.
So, what makes you happy? Tell me in the comments below.

This is a very simple question but with a real introspecting perspective. What makes me smile? That’s tough to answer in this small comment, but you have given me a nice idea to write on 😉

I guess it’s the same with every one of us, things which used to make us happy a decade ago they no longer hold any value in today’s time. To spend quality time with my family, watching my son laugh and play, counting stars, making new travel plans are a few things which are my dose of happiness now.
Such a lovey post. Yes there are a lot of things that makes me happy. earlier non stop work and back to back meeting kept me happy and now Rasing my son makes me happy.
Kids bring so much happiness in life
for me, music and reading are my sources of happiness and bring peace to my soul. also, yes the perspective changes over the years.
Yup our joys and happiness changes over a period of time
What makes us smile changes with time. At young age may be a new pencil, later may be a good phone, at some other point a masala chai made by partner.
